Clear Space Theatre Company (20 Baltimore Avenue; 302-227-2270) presents The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee “on the boards” weekends from May 6-22. Local artist/actor Andrew Criss opens June 3 in the one-man show Chesapeake by Lee Blessing.

St. Peter’s Episcopal (Second and Market Street in Lewes; 302-645-8479) has some exciting concerts coming. Immanuel Bach Consort presents An IBC Messiah featuring arias and choruses from Handel’s Messiah alongside related chorales of J.S. Bach—Thursday, June 9 (7 p.m.). The Wilmington Children’s Chorus performs as part of the Delaware chapter of the American Choral Directors Association spring gathering, Monday, June 20 (7 p.m.). Both concerts are presented on a free-will offering basis, with reception following.
Second Street Players (2 South Walnut Street in Milford; 302-422-0220) proudly presents an all-star cast lead by local favorites John Zinzi and Lorraine Steinhoff in Fiddler On the Roof, May 6-15. Anita Peghini-Räber Gallery (49 Baltimore Avenue; 302-227-2888) hosts Tango de Arte on last Saturday of the month—a social dance in Argentine Tango until midnight. They welcome you to share your dreams of building your collection of fine art, and offer layaway.

Peninsula Gallery (520 E. Savannah Rd in Lewes; 302-645-0551) will hold an opening reception to meet artists Carole Boggemann Peirson and Meg Nottingham Walsh, Saturday, May 7 (5-7 p.m.). Their show, Light on the Land, explores how light and color interact when painting Plein Air and in the Studio. Through May 31. The contemporary landscapes of Jill Basham will be featured June 4-July 5.
